Ways to Earn Extra Money on the Side

Posted by admin on June 28, 2011

Let’s face it, most of us are looking fo ways to earn extra money on the side. It might be to pay off debt more quickly, to take that much needed vacation, or any number of other things.

If you’re looking to get rich quick online, I’m sorry to tell you that I’ve not figured that out, but I do make money online using different methods.

And one of the best things about making money online is that the internet never closes. It’s always going, someone is always searching, always looking, even when you’re asleep. THAT is the one thing I love most about it.

Now everything that I promote on this site are things I’ve actually done in my journey of earning extra cash.

Some of the best ways I’ve found are:

In giving you this information, I want you to understand that I DO get paid for you signing up, or for participating, but that’s not the only way I’ve earned money from this list. I just want to be transparent :)

Here’s wishing you success as you learn about ways to earn extra money on the side!

Google Adsense: A Legitimate Way to Make Money Online

Posted by admin on September 24, 2010

I love Google.

Even before I began earning extra cash with google Adsense, I loved their spirit of giving so much away, such as gmail, google docs, etc.

But I have to say, I really like Google Adsense.

Why?  Because I am about to cash yet ANOTHER Google Adsense check!  Please don’t take that as bragging….I’m just excited!

What is Adsense?

If you’re not familiar with what Adsense is, it is simply Google’s advertising medium.  Any time you do a search on Google, look at the right sidebar for ads.  Those ads were put there by a business or person that has paid Google to put the ad there for that search term.

For example, if you do a Google search for earning extra cash, you will see related advertisements on the sidebar.

Google Adsense is HUGE!  There are all sorts of so called guru’s out there trying to get you to buy their product on how to make tons of money from Google Adsense.

How To Make Money With Adsense

What I am NOT going to do, is promise you that you will make tons of money from Google Adsense.  There have been those that have, although some of them have been banned from Google for practices that weren’t legit.

As you noticed I’m sure, this blog is called “Earning Extra Cash”, not “Make You Rich”.

It’s not that I don’t want you to be rich.  I hope you do very well with your online endeavors, and that you can use some of the information on this website to do so.

So, to help you along those lines, this is what you need to make money with Google Adsense:  TRAFFIC

Traffic, website hits, visitors…it’s all the same, and is the lifeblood of any website that expects to make any money.

Not surprisingly, there are a lot of guru’s out there trying to tell you how to get traffic, for a fee of course :)

I’ve learned what I know from great resources such as:

To make money with Google Adsense, you’re going to need a blog or website of some kind, but this doesn’t have to be expensive.

Blogger.com is a FREE website owned by one of my favorite companies:  Google.

You can set up a blog about most anything, and the site allows you to easily incorporate Google Ads into your blog, as well as Amazon ads.

If someone clicks on one of your Google Ads, you get paid.  Pretty simple huh?  There is a $100 minimum amount before you actually get a check.  The more traffic you get, the greater

I’ve made SOME money with Google Adsense from a blogger account, but I didn’t see any REAL money until I started my own domain:  http://www.garyfarnam.org

So free is an avenue you can take to get your feet wet….it’s what I did.  But if you’d rather dive in head first, then consider getting a web hosting account and domain through a reputable company such as Godaddy.  For less than $5 a month, you can have your own website!
$1.99 Web Hosting at Go Daddy
Yeah, it can be that inexpensive.  That’s probably NOT what you’ve been told though.  Check it out for yourself, and feel free to leave a comment or ask a question.  It requires you to put in your email address (that only I will see), so I can easily contact you that way if you’d like some extra help getting started.
